Easter

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29 KJV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Happy Easter to all who believe!

St. Patrick's Day

I'm afraid I didn't wear either orange or green today, as neither of which are in my wardrobe in the proper shades. However - I did get my corned beef and cabbage, ah and the good ol' Irish standby, the spud.

Putting aside the differences between the Orange and the Green, let us all remember why Saint Patrick returned to Ireland; to spread the light of Christ to an unsaved people.

Blessings and may people continue to come to the Light that Saint Patrick so lovingly shared with a people that had once held him in slavery.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

I'm a Little Teapot

It was the most adorable fabric. A cream colored background with cranberry colored pots and cups dancing across its surface. I had been thinking about making my sister- in- law to be an apron for her bridal shower, and the fabric convinced me. I decided to design my own pattern and I think the pocket is such a cute touch. Though I have to say, the teapot was my sister’s idea, I had originally thought about a tea cup.

It really was perfect. Tea is a bit of a fetish around our house and in the end we gave her a really cute kettle from her registry at Macy’s and the apron went with it very well. I love the kettle she chose; it has such elegant, early American lines.

The apron was very popular at the shower – and unbeknownst to me, it even goes with the kitchen colors she chose. Phew! I really should have perused her registries and noted these things.
